The service
Wrapped right, or not worth wrapping
A shrink wrap job is mostly framing and venting. Get those wrong and the wrap holds water, sags into pooling, tears at the first real wind, or seals moisture in until you open the boat in April to mildew across every seat. Done properly it is the cheapest insurance the boat gets all year.
Trident wraps for the off season and comes back in the spring to cut it down and take it away. That second half is the part most people forget to arrange, and it is the worst job of the spring to be stuck doing yourself.
Book early, genuinely
Late September through November is the crunch, and the calendar fills from the top. Booking ahead means you pick the date instead of taking whatever is left in December.
Worth being clear about
Shrink wrapping only, not winterization
Trident wraps boats. We do not do mechanical winterization, which means no engine work, no fuel or water systems, and no antifreeze. That is a job for your mechanic or marina and it needs to be booked separately.
The wrap protects the boat from weather. It does nothing for what is inside the engine, so do not let one stand in for the other.
How it runs
Fall to spring
Book the date
Length and boat type set the price. Get on the calendar early in the fall, before the rush closes out the good dates.
Prep and frame
Boat cleared and the frame built to shed weather. This is the stage that decides whether the wrap survives February.
Wrap and vent
Heat sealed tight to the frame, vents fitted, access door added if you asked for one.
Spring removal
We come back, take it all down, and haul the wrap and framing away. Boat is clean and ready for the season.
Pair it with an end of season detail
Wrapping a dirty boat locks salt, grime, and mildew spores in with it for five months. A wash and wax before the wrap goes on is the single best thing you can do for how the boat looks in April.

Shrink wrapping FAQ
When should I book shrink wrapping?
Early. The window from late September through November gets busy quickly across every marina from LBI to Cape May, and the good dates fill first. Booking ahead of the rush means you pick the date rather than taking what is left.
Do you remove the wrap in the spring?
Yes. Removal and disposal is part of what we do, and it is easily the least pleasant job of the spring. We cut it down, pull the frame, take the whole lot away, and leave you with a clean boat ready to go in.
Do you winterize engines?
No. Trident does shrink wrapping only. Mechanical winterization such as engine work, fuel systems, water systems, and antifreeze is not something we take on, so book that with your mechanic or marina. The wrap protects the boat, it does not protect the engine.
Is the wrap vented?
Yes. Vents go in as standard. A sealed wrap traps moisture and you open the boat in the spring to mildew everywhere, which costs more to put right than the wrap did. Airflow is not an upgrade, it is part of doing it properly.
Can you wrap a boat on a trailer at my house?
Yes. We wrap in yards, driveways, and storage lots as well as at the marina. If the boat comes home for the winter, we will come to it.
